About John Lilburne

Born in Melbourne, Australia. In 1985 I began studying engineering at the University of Melbourne and joined Melbourne University Regiment. I completed a degree in Industrial Engineering in 1988. In 1991 I left the Army Reserve to work full time as an officer in the Royal Australian Navy. In 1998 I left the Navy to study for the priesthood at Corpus Christi College. In 2000 I stopped being a seminarian, but I continued studying at Catholic Theological College, in Melbourne. I completed the Bachelor of Theology in 2002.
