Journal1914 Tue 31 Jul 2001Today I read two particularly good articles by Archbishop Chaput. One is about research on stem cells. The other was in the weekly magazine "America" -- reflections on what Cardinal Kasper had written about Church governance. I heard a talk Archbishop Chaput gave in Melbourne last year. I was very impressed with it and read four documents that he suggested about the role of the laity. I remember him talking about the difficulty of being a bishop at the start of the talk. He has had a book published this year which I have not read, but would like to. By J.R. Lilburne, 31 July 2001. Updated 13 December 2005. I give what I have written on this page to the public domain. |
